The Misery Index is the sum of the unemployment rate and the inflation rate, calculated based on the latest statistics published by the Statistical Center of Iran in 2023.

The inflation rate represents the twelve-month change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for goods and services for households nationwide as of March 2024. This data comes from reports by the Statistical Center of Iran, the official source for inflation statistics.
