The unemployment rate is the ratio of the unemployed population to the active population over the age of 15 in 2023, calculated through quarterly surveys by the Statistical Center of Iran.

The inflation rate represents the twelve-month change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for goods and services for households nationwide as of March 2024. This data comes from reports by the Statistical Center of Iran, the official source for inflation statistics.

The average urban household income is derived from the 2023 Urban Household Income-Expenditure Reports, obtained through surveys conducted by the Statistical Center of Iran.

The per capita provincial budget is calculated by dividing the provincial budget (Table 10) by the total population of the province. This index does not include national centralized funds or miscellaneous allocations from the public budget.

This index is calculated by dividing the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of each province at current prices by the GDP of the entire country, based on the latest regional accounts data from the Statistical Center of Iran in 2020.

This index represents the average participation rate for the first and second rounds of the 14th presidential election, held on June 28 and July 5, 2024. The participation rate is calculated by dividing the total number of votes by the eligible voting population.

The literacy rate is calculated by dividing the literate population of each region by the total population over six years of age in that region. This data is from the latest census by the Statistical Center of Iran in 2016.

Based on census data from 2016 and calculations of urban and rural population growth rates, the Statistical Center of Iran estimates the population of different regions for future years.
