Globally, Iran ranks 75th in mobile internet speed and 153rd in fixed internet speed.

This is despite the fact that 7 years ago in the summer of 2017, Iran had better internet quality than neighboring countries. Speed Test archives show that in July 2017, the average mobile internet speed in Iran was about a third of the UAE, half of Qatar and more than Saudi Arabia. Today, after seven years, UAE’s internet is 10 times faster. Qatar and Saudi Arabia’s internet speeds are six and three times faster than Iran’s, respectively.
